Confusion Regarding Pre Workout Meal

Pre Workout Meal | Featured

If you are a gym-going person and confused regarding your pre-worked then this content is for you my friend, just have a look at the full content.

Pre-workout is considered to be a very important meal, most people have a view that if they are taking a good meal or supplement for pre-workout then they will be able to lift heavy in the gym. But it’s not true.

Let’s understand a small concept of energy, from where your muscles take energy while lifting weight:

The body is made of different muscles and every muscle tissue holds a substance called Glycogen. Glycogen is made of carbohydrates which an individual eats in his meal cycle. And this muscle glycogen gives you the energy to lift heavyweights.

Gymers have a thought that if they will eat something before a workout they will get good energy to lift heavy, but that’s not what the truth is.

As per the human body digestion system whenever you eat something it remains in your stomach for at least three to four hours then the actual digestion starts.

If you are eating something lite then it takes 12 to 13 hours to completely digest it and on the other hand, heavy foods take 22 to 24 hours to digest completely.

Now coming back to the topic

When you eat something before going for a workout it won’t get converted into muscle glycogen instantly. That means you are not getting energy from the meal which you took before 30 minutes or 1 hour.

So now the question is from where that energy is coming from?

The simple answer to this question is glycogen which is already present in your muscles gives you the energy. This is the glycogen that is stored in your body muscles made up of your entire day and day before diet. That’s why it is always suggested to keep your entries day diet good because that’s the key source of energy while your workout, taking a good pre-workout meal won’t work if the entire day diet is not good enough.

So, why it is suggested to have a good pre-workout meal?

You must have heard of this old saying, ‘your body is ready to grind, your mind is not’.

Hence, pre-work is to make your mind ready for the workout. When you take carbs (simple or complex), it has a tendency to break down into glucose faster than any other form of food. And glucose acts as a fuel for the brain it will help you to enter a feel-good zone for a workout. So, your pre-workout acts as a mind maker, just drop this thought that you will be able to lift heavy after taking it.

Making your mind ready for a workout is very important because your body is ready for it. Few pre workout meals which will help: (Best Pre Workout Meal)
